Creating trusted and untrusted Internet site listsFor additional security and to reduce the number of pop-up alerts, you can create a list of Internet sites that you want to always allow or block. A Trusted Sites list contains Web sites or IP addresses that you consider safe and want to allow through the filters. An Untrusted Sites list contains Web sites or IP addresses that you consider unsafe and want to block with the filters.To create a list of trusted or untrusted Internet sites:
1. In the Icon panel, click Firewall.
2. Click the Main tab.
3. Select the profile (either home, office, or remote).
4. Click Edit Profile Settings, below the profile selection.
5. Click Trusted/Untrusted Internet Sites.The Trusted/Untrusted Internet Sites panel opens.
6. To the right of the Trusted Network or Untrusted Network panels, click the Add button.The Add Site window opens and allows you to enter either the IP address of a single computer, the IP address or netmask of a network machine, or the host name of a URL.
7. Select one of the following:
• Single computer. Add a computer by entering its IP address.
• Network. Add an entire network by adding its root IP address and the network mask.
•
8. Click OK.To edit or remove a Web site or IP address:
1. Select the URL or IP address from either the Trusted Network or Untrusted Network panels.
2. Click either Edit or Remove.
• If you click Edit, the Edit sites window opens. Edit the appropriate field and click Save.
• If you click Remove, the item is deleted from the list.
